Une nouvelle ère s’ouvre après 84 ans de fidèle présence en Haïti
L’Église Wesleyenne d’Haïti annonce avec joie qu’elle est désormais officiellement reconnue comme une Conférence nationale établie. Cette décision a été approuvée lors de la 15e Conférence générale de l’Amérique du Nord, tenue du 17 au 21 mai 2026 à Indiana.
Cette étape historique marque un tournant majeur dans la vie de l’Église, présente en Haïti depuis 1942. Elle ouvre une nouvelle ère caractérisée par un engagement renouvelé, un leadership renforcé et de plus grandes responsabilités dans l’accomplissement de sa mission spirituelle et communautaire à travers le pays.

Notre Surintendant National, le Pasteur Denor Rosemond, était accompagné du Dr. Abson Joseph, pour recevoir officiellement la main d’association lors de cette cérémonie significative.
L’Église Wesleyenne d’Haïti exprime sa profonde gratitude envers Dieu, ainsi qu’envers tous les leaders, missionnaires, partenaires, pasteurs et fidèles qui ont contribué à cette avancée historique.
Nous prions pour que cette nouvelle phase soit marquée par l’unité, la croissance spirituelle et un impact encore plus grand au service de la communauté haïtienne.

Résultat d'un long processus de collaboration avec l'Église internationale, notamment avec l'Église nord-américaine. Ce n'est pas une destination, mais une étape décisive dans notre autonomie en tant qu'Église.
Félicitations à l’Église wesleyenne d’Haïti pour cette étape importante franchie dans son histoire! Il s’agit d’une reconnaissance impliquant de plus grandes responsabilités et beaucoup plus de preuves de maturité et de leadership à tous les niveaux pour que l’Église puisse assumer davantage son autonomie financière, administrative et missio-théologique à la gloire de Dieu.
I am deeply honored and profoundly proud, both as a Haitian and as a former missionary who had the privilege of serving in Haiti during critical seasons of development, to witness this historic moment for The Wesleyan Church of Haiti.
Having worked firsthand within the Haitian context, and now serving as Francophone Area Director, I recognize the extraordinary determination, perseverance, and faithfulness demonstrated by Haitian leaders, pastors, and churches in pursuing this milestone. This achievement is especially remarkable given the immense social, political, and economic challenges Haiti continues to face.
I also want to express my deep gratitude to the North American Church, Global Partners, and the many missionaries who have given their lives, or significant seasons of their lives, to ensure that the Haitian people (I included) not only heard the gospel, but also received the support, training, and structure needed for the church to become self-governing, mature, and ready to move forward as a partner in the worldwide mission of reaching the world for Christ.
The approval of Haiti as an Established National Conference reflects not only organizational maturity, but also the resilient faith of a church committed to the mission of Jesus Christ despite adversity. It is a testimony to God’s faithfulness and to the unwavering commitment of the Haitian Wesleyan community.
My sincere hope is that this newly established Haitian National Conference will continue to serve as an essential and strategic partner within the broader International Wesleyen church, and specifically with the Francophone Area—providing leadership, missionary workers, spiritual strength, and collaborative vision as we work together to advance the Kingdom of God throughout and beyond the French-speaking world.
Congratulations to the leaders, pastors, and members of The Wesleyan Church of Haiti and North America on this extraordinary accomplishment. May God continue to bless, strengthen, and use Haiti as a powerful force for His mission across the world.
